Yorkshire’s New Community Concert Band

Goole and East Riding Community Concert Band is a new venture based in Goole, East Yorkshire that welcomes players of woodwind, brass and percussion to come together to play a mixture of traditional concert band music.

The band was formed in April ’24, and was the idea of Musical Director and band secretary Councillor Ray Kilcoyne and band chairman Roger White who individually had the idea of forming a concert band in the local area, then joined forces to form the Goole & East Riding Community Concert Band.

Ray and Roger quickly realised that they both had the same vision. To create a community band that would bring people together to play music, support the local community by playing concerts in the local area, and form a group that would welcome all woodwind, brass and percussion musicians into the band.
